Michael Fieldhouse, FGIntPT
Mike is a former senior police officer who retired after serving for more than 30 years.
He was the head of the Community Support Department for North East Lincolnshire and has
successfully organized a great number of public and private formal, informal and charitable
events. During the course of these, he met many celebrities and built a sound rapport with
the media. Whilst Mike has a great sense of occasion and responsibility, he wants people
to enjoy themselves and more importantly have fun.
Following his retirement ten years ago, Mike chose to develop his enjoyment of music and
meeting people and began his own company as an MC and DJ. He soon realized that some
formal recognition was required for his skills and began to research the best options to
gain these. He applied to the Guild of International Professional Toastmasters and was
fortunate in gaining a place on one of their courses, before being examined and gaining
acceptance as a Fellow of the Guild.
Mike has officiated at a great many weddings and other types of functions over the years
and has developed a ‘low key, yet effective’ way of working so that the focus remains on
the guests of honour, whilst Mike keeps his finger firmly on the pulse, serving the needs
of all present so that a most memorable, happy and enjoyable time is had by all.
